ELLA, as a volunteer organization, is looking for volunteers in all areas of its operations. Whether you have expertise in planning and implementing programs, promoting organizations, celebrating volunteers, or working with computers or financials; we need your ideas and skills to provide exciting programs in 2021-22.
Our immediate needs are in the areas of Program Development and Administration. Program Development is seeking volunteers in the areas of Humanities, Fine Arts and Wellness and Leisure.

ELLA VOLUNTEERS
ELLA is operated entirely by a dedicated Board of Directors and volunteers. Every year, volunteers assist with a wide variety of tasks including administration, program development and implementation, marketing, and much more. Volunteering can be a great way to enhance your ELLA experience and get to know other ELLA enthusiasts. Please consider offering your skills as ELLA depends on volunteer involvement to operate and to grow.

Website Curator | Responsible for the overall look of the ELLA website, keeping it current by: regularly updating with fresh and current content, graphics and pictures regularly, posting informative content, maintaining a postings calendar and circulating that calendar to the Board, contacting Board Committees to provide content for the website. | Ongoing |
| PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT | Select courses for the next year’s session; identify and contact instructors. | Ongoing |
| ADMINISTRATION | General office duties, data entry, provide assistance to members. | Ongoing |
| PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION | In general, set up the mechanics to run the ELLA session: Facilitators and Ambassadors, organize and provide training for online classes, generate name tags, Information kits, assign rooms for individual courses. | Throughout the sessions |
| MARKETING | Create marketing information regarding ELLA, communicate to members via newsletters, emails, social media, prepare Spring Program Guide and/or online course information. | Throughout the year |
| INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY | Develop and maintain the information and technology systems that support the operations of ELLA. | Year round |
| VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT | Recruit and communicate with volunteers, organize volunteer recognition, maintain volunteer records, liaise with the ELLA Board and committee members. | Year round |
| ELLA BOARD | Oversee all aspects of ELLA operations, maintain adherence to ELLA policies and procedures, manage financial records. | 10 meetings per year, plus committee work |
